THE HONEST ANSWERS
We know what you're thinking. "Is this real?" Yes. "Is this a scam?" No. "Is this gambling?" Definitely not. Here's everything you need to know, answered plainly.
Yes. Full stop. You pay $1 via Stripe (one of the most trusted payment processors in the world) and you immediately receive a unique numbered digital card. No hidden fees. No subscriptions. No bait-and-switch. What you see is what you get. We have Terms & Conditions, a Privacy Policy, and Legal Disclaimers published on the site. Our payment processor is Stripe, the same company that processes payments for Amazon, Google, and millions of other businesses.
My sister's brother's mom's best friend's uncle said this looks like a scam. Fair enough. There are two kinds of "scam" people usually mean, and we'll address both.
Scam Type 1: "You're giving money to a random internet person for what might be nothing."
Honestly? Kind of. You are handing a dollar to a random internet person. You get back a unique numbered digital card that lives in a database. Is that "nothing"? Maybe! But it's a dollar. And like... what if it becomes something? Early web experiments like the Million Dollar Homepage sold pixels for real money, and those pixels are now part of internet history. We're not promising you anything big. We're just saying: it's a dollar, it's a card, and who knows what it'll mean in ten years.
Scam Type 2: "My information is going to end up on the DARK WEB."
We genuinely don't know where the dark web is, so we're definitely not sending anything there. More seriously: your credit card information is never stored by us, ever. It goes directly to Stripe, a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified payment processor. We only receive a confirmation that a payment happened. Your email is used solely to link you to your card and send you a magic login link. It is not shared, not sold, not solicited in any way. See our Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions for the full picture.
No. Gambling involves wagering money on an uncertain outcome for a chance to win more money. This is not that. You pay $1. You receive a card. Every time. Guaranteed. There is no chance of winning money. There is no chance of losing more than $1. The tier of your card is determined by mathematical properties of your number. It is not random. It is a fixed-price purchase of a digital collectible. See our Legal page for the full not-gambling disclaimer.
You receive:
• A unique card number (one of at most 999,999 that will ever exist)
• A tier: Copper, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Orichalcum, Electrum, or Aetherium
• Unique generative artwork based on your number's era and mathematical properties
• A description of what makes your number mathematically interesting
• Permanent ownership recorded in our database, linked to your email
• The ability to view, share, and eventually trade your card
Your card's properties are permanent. The number, tier, and artwork cannot be changed. Not by you, not by us.
Tiers are determined entirely by mathematical properties of your card's number. The system checks for things like:
• Aetherium - reserved for the most extraordinary numbers: specific hardcoded special numbers
• Electrum - six-of-a-kind digits (e.g. 777777), Fibonacci numbers
• Orichalcum - five-of-a-kind digits, perfect palindromes
• Platinum - four-of-a-kind, straights (123456), milestone numbers
• Gold - historically significant dates, notable years
• Silver - prime numbers, Munchausen numbers
• Copper - all other numbers
You do not choose your number. Numbers are assigned sequentially. Tiers are not random. They are a deterministic function of the number itself.
No. No blockchain. No cryptocurrency. No wallet required. No gas fees. No environmental impact from proof-of-work. Your card is a digital collectible tracked in a traditional database, linked to your email. It works like owning a record in a trusted registry, simple, stable, and accessible to anyone with an email address.
Yes. We never see your credit card number. Ever. Payments go directly to Stripe, which is PCI-DSS Level 1 certified. That is the highest security standard in the payment industry. Stripe also supports Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Link for additional security and convenience. We receive only a notification that a payment was completed.
Yes, but only within 60 seconds of purchase. After checkout you are taken to a timer page. If you cancel during that window, you receive a full refund. Once your card is issued (when the timer expires), the purchase is final. Card numbers are unique and non-recyclable, which is why the window is limited.

Intentional design. YouWontDoIt.com is inspired by the spirit of early internet experiments, including the Million Dollar Homepage,, GeoCities, early web creativity.
