Welcome to the experiment.
Think of it like the Million Dollar Homepage meets a card game meets a fever dream from the early internet.
You contribute $1. You get your number.
Numbers are assigned in order. The first person gets #1. The 500th person gets #500. You get whatever is next in line.
Some numbers are more special than others. You don't get to pick. What makes yours special is already decided.
Welcome to The Ordinal. Every number is a permanent card with a locked tier, from Silver all the way up to the legendary Aetherium. Each card is a digital asset that belongs to you. Collect multiples. Trade or sell cards with other users through our system. Build the best collection you can. The tiers are set before you even buy. What you get is what you get.
Will a million people actually do this? Will it become a weird piece of internet history? Or will it quietly disappear like every other experiment that came before it?
That's the thing. Nobody knows yet. That's kind of the whole point.
This is not gambling. There's no variable monetary reward. You pay $1, you get your card. That's it. Tiers are cosmetic and for fun. This is art. Or a monument to our collective curiosity. Probably both.
